Tosha Hill Band

Alabama native, Tosha Hill is a singer/songwriter who unleashes Shoals soul while staying true to her country and gospel roots. Her debut EP, Forty Miles, is a collection of 5 songs co-written with her father, Billy “Jack” Hill. A regular at Nashville’s Bluebird Café, Tosha has also co-written with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s: John Oates of Hall and Oates, Spooner Oldham and Brenda Lee (Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree). She has shared the stage with Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, John Paul White (Civil Wars), Randy Owen (Alabama), Shenandoah and Lonestar.

Stemming from humble beginnings at an early age, the musical journey she began led her from performing and leading worship at churches in her hometown area of Muscle Shoals to honing and crafting her talents in the legendary recording studios amongst the originators of the Muscle Shoals Sound. Those echoes of inspiration resonate to this day leaving their lasting influence on her as a young, new artist and on her music.

Having walked in the footsteps of some of music’s greatest performers, Tosha is a testament not only to the kind of music and talent that records in Muscle Shoals, but that is grown there. She exhibits an exceptional onstage presence that leaves the audience wanting more. Being supported and taught by her father the importance of maintaining a superior work ethic, Tosha utilized these tools, her talents and ambition to cultivate a sound that is pleasing as well as original.

This year she will be joined by her brothers, Josh and Caleb Hill, as they lead us in praise and worship to glorify our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Daisy’s Place

“A Place to Rest When Your Loved Ones Need You Most”
At times, many people find themselves miles away from their loved ones in the hospital.

We want to serve them by providing a comfortable supportive place to stay while taking care of their hospitalized loved ones in the Shoals (Northwest Alabama).
When Carolyn O’Byrne’s daughter, Daisy, was four months old she knew something was wrong. It had been a difficult pregnancy and she had been advised to abort. At 17 months, Carolyn was terrified to put Daisy to bed at night for fear she wouldn’t wake up. Doctors told her it was just the croup, but Carolyn knew something more serious was going on. After two doctor visits in one day, that night she returned to the ER and refused to leave until they found out was wrong. A pediatric heart specialist finally diagnosed her the next day and said that, if she lived, she would need a new heart.

Being a one-car family, they drove to Vanderbilt and were told that Daisy’s circulatory system was underdeveloped from head to toe. Carolyn stayed with her 20 hours a day in ICU while her husband went back home to work, and to take care of their other three children who had just gotten out for summer break. If it hadn’t been for their church family, they would have floundered.

Daisy had to be in the ICU for long stretches and because of the nature of ICU, the hospital really didn’t want her in there – no bathrooms, no food, no chair, no rest.
A Godsend was a family friend who brought their old 1980s conversion van to the hospital parking lot, giving Carolyn a place to keep her things and take a nap. This friend also came to get her dirty clothes weekly, wash them, and bring them back. Carolyn had never thought about that need before. Around 1 am every night, Carolyn would cry her way to the van in the parking lot and try to sleep. She didn’t feel safe at all out there, but it was all she had.

As Daisy improved, she got moved to a regular hospital room, and the day came to finally go home to Athens. As Daisy improved, Carolyn would drive back and forth to Nashville weekly, then monthly, then finally yearly.

Because of Daisy’s story, it has been Carolyn’s prayer and dream to one day be a part of something that would soften the hardship, stress, and worry that is magnified when you have no place to rest, put your things, wash your clothes, or get a bite to eat while taking care of your loved one in the hospital.
Daisy’s Place in Florence, Alabama is that answered prayer.

Now 22, Daisy’s life has been a very difficult journey, to say the least. As of right now, her heart is doing fine but she has other challenges that we face daily. God has a plan for her!
