Mark 2:3-5 And they came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men. And being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “My son, your sins are forgiven.”
Consider these questions;
How much did these men love their brother….or this stranger? What was in it for them? Do you think they put themselves at risk for the sake of healing and a soul? Were they friends or just four men that saw a need? How many things did they try to help this man before they decided to move the probably stone roof away and let the man down? How close were they to giving up? Was this man in a convenient place to be seen as needing help or did they go out of their way to help him? Why help this man and not someone else? Did this man’s healing and salvation impact them?
Read the same story in Luke 5: 17-39
Take some time and think about how God could use you? Was this man’s miracle because of the faith of others leading him to Christ?
