“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believed in Him might be saved.” John 3:16
As I am writing this, I am listening to a gospel music program that is featuring one of my favorite quartets, The Cathedrals. One of the songs that they sang is “Sinner Saved by Grace”. This is a song about my life. Because God sent His Son to die for me, I am assured that through His wonderful, amazing grace, I belong to Him and I am SAVED!!!
I was raised by two wonderful Christian parents that always took me to church and lived a life that showed everyone that they knew and loved our Lord and Savior.
Even when I strayed and seemed to forget about God’s love for me, He always drew me back to Him and forgave me and wrapped me in His loving arms.
“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind, but now I see.”

I have been extremely blessed to have been raised in church. My parents (A.J and Myra Wallace) raised me, my sister Janie, and my brothers Harry and Andy here at Pleasant Hill. I attended Wesley Chapel Church for many years but returned to Pleasant Hill after I met and married Skip here in 1998. Skip and I are so blessed to be able to worship here with many of our family members.
I was saved as a teenager at a tent revival meeting on Central High Schools old football field. I was sprinkled soon thereafter and then Baptized when the Family Life Center was completed.
My parents always taught us to stay in church and faithful to God no matter what life brings. My first marriage ended after 16 ½ years but God got me through it and answered my prayers. He gave me a great husband and best friend with Skip. God has always been so faithful and good to me.
I try to stress to Amiyah, Caleb and Andee to stay faithful to God, close to each other and Pray, Pray, Pray.
So many of my prayers have been answered and some I’m still praying about and for. I know God will answer those as well in His time.

This Lent Season
This Lent season focus on your response to Easter. How has what Jesus did on the cross affected your life? Several at our church have shared their Salvation Story-their response to Easter. Lent is about humbly preparing ourselves through prayer, repentance and reflection to celebrate Jesus willingness to suffer on the cross, Gods willingness to send His only Son to die and Jesus Resurrection on the third day proclaiming Victory over satan and sin so we, sinful man could be forgiven and live in relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit forever, eternally!! Jesus purchased Salvation so we could live in His power and not under the power of sin. Today pray for strength to set aside extra time each day of Lent for not only the devotion but meditation on our thankfulness for Salvation throughout our entire day.
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things”.
