Lent 2018

Lent is the 40 days before Easter, not including Sundays. It is a time set a part to give consideration to the 40 days Jesus spent fasting and being tested by satan in the desert before He began his ministry. Even Jesus set Himself apart for a time on several occasions to call on and be strengthen by God as an example to us that in our busy lives. We need focused time with God to live in this lost and broken world.

March 17

I think one of the greatest miracles if not the greatest is how The Holy Spirit works in lives.  I have been so blessed to witness others accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior……to see and hear their struggle and the moment they know Yes is the answer they want to give and feel The Holy Spirit’s Presence when they say YES!.  I have witnessed God change lives in Paraguay,  India, at Youth Camp, at my work place, at my church, in my family, in a hospital room, in a hospital waiting room, sitting out side on a bench. I have seen The Holy Spirit do the work over  minutes and over years.  Recently I witnessed The Holy Spirit work in a life in a way that let me know it is all God’s work I just get the blessing of starting a conversation or asking the question every Christian is dying to ask of the unsaved….”Would you like to ask Jesus to be your Savior?”  The salvation story is theirs to tell but the miracle of it all is not lost on me.

Sadly, I have seen very smart people not be able to believe the simplicity of The Gospel and   I have  prayed for those caught up in addiction that want out but just cant seem to believe God can help them change. It saddens my heart when I know of someone living below God’s means……outside of the saving power of Jesus, struggling and hurting in this hard world when the help that Jesus went to the Cross to provide is just a YES away.

The miracle of Salvation is a beautiful and powerful miracle to experience and to see happen for someone else. Honestly once you’ve experienced sharing Jesus and seeing someone else’s YES moment you long to experience it again. That is the miracle come full circle.

Matt 19:25-26 When the disciples hear this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who can be saved?  Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

God Bless
